Terms and Conditions:

All baked goods and treats made by Sweet Oasis Cake Shop are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Ingredients

All of our ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.

All baked goods and treats are prepared and made in a facility using equipment that also processes nuts.  Every effort is taken to keep ingredients separate however cakes may contain traces of nuts or nut oil, and other food allergens such as dairy, wheat, eggs etc..

**If you have a food allergy please do not assume that we know.  Please inform us when placing your order.  Although we do not guarantee an allergy free final product due to possible cross contamination, every effort will be made to make the product without the food allergen ingredients specified.

Our baked goods are freshly baked to order and may include dairy products. Gluten free baked goods are available, but please note that our kitchen is generally used to prepare foods that contain these ingredients and also nuts. Please discuss any dietary requirements with us before ordering.

Storage

Sugar paste , fondant should not  be refrigerated and as such cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferably in the box they were supplied in, refrigeration may cause colors to run and the icing to crack.

Although our goods are baked to order and can be enjoyed for several days after purchase, we recommend that all cakes and baked goods should be eaten on the same day for optimal taste and quality.  Refrigeration and exposure to heat will compromise the texture and quality of the baked good.

Orders

Three months’ notice on wedding cakes is preferred.  However we will accept short notice cakes subject to the availability of the date required.

Any cake ordered from a picture or photo of a cake produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by Sweet Oasis Cake Shop as our interpretation of that cake and will not be an exact reproduction of the cake in the picture or photo.

Character and themed cakes are subject to copyright laws and proper rules and regulations must be followed when requesting these cakes.  Such as using copyright approved cake toppers and decorations in the final product.  We will work with you to come up with a lovely design within these terms and conditions.  Please feel free to ask and obtain legal permissions to reproduce the copyright character.  Legal documentation listing Sweet Oasis Cake shop as having approval must be provided in order to move forward with the request.

We reserve the right to use our judgment when creating and designing your cake and we may need to adjust your order accordingly. In the event of this happening we will do our best to advise you in advance.

Deposits:

We require a 50% deposit upon placement of all orders greater than $150.00, which is deducted from the final balance payable. Deposits are nonrefundable.

All orders up to $150.00 must be paid in full when placing your order.

**A minimum deposit of $150 is required on all wedding and themed cakes.**

The deposit will secure your spot on our calendar.

Amendments                                                           

Any amendment to your order must be confirmed via email/writing as soon as possible, and may be subject to an additional charge if extra work is required. We will do our best to accommodate last minute changes, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation, work already completed is still chargeable. All deposits are non-refundable

Final Balance Payments

For orders up to $150 full payment is due upon order.

For large orders $150 or more, the remainder of payment is due one week prior to delivery.  Delivery and set-up fee is due upon delivery.  If not payed upon delivery a charge will be placed on your account reflecting the amount due.

For wedding cakes Balance, is payable 1 month  prior to delivery.  Cake design must be confirmed and final 4 weeks before delivery.  If any changes are made to the design difference in price will be reflected in total.

Cancellation

The 50% deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Full payment of the cake balance is required if cancellation is within 3 to 1 months of the wedding date.   All cancellations must be submitted in writing by registered post and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure receipt of the cancellation.  On receipt of the cancellation you will be sent confirmation and information of any amounts due at the cancellation date, these amounts must be paid within 7 days of confirmation letter, any unpaid balances will be pursued through the small claims court and customers will be responsible for costs and expenses incurred in this process.

Disputes

Any refund given for disputes regarding a cake design or production of a design are completely at the discretion of Sweet Oasis Cake Shop and are not automatic.  Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.  All cakes delivered to venues are photographed from different angles to show cake quality on delivery we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake such as knives, decorations and stands, once the cake has been delivered to a venue or collected from our shop, or for loss, damage or non-delivery under unavoidable or exceptional circumstances. This in no way affects your statutory rights.

Delivery

Cakes will be delivered and set up at extra cost subject to availability; any arrangements for delivery may be subject to change, however prior notice will be given where possible.

Cakes, baked goods and treats are to be collected from our premises at a prearranged time and date only.

Publication

We reserve the right to use any image of a cake made by Sweet Oasis Cake Shop for publication at a later date.

Order procedure:

Your 50% deposit secures your date on our calendar.

Keep us informed of any changes and amendments to your details as soon as they happen, in writing is preferred

Acceptance

By placing an order with Sweet Oasis Cake Shop you are agreeing to these terms.
